The Ministry of Altar Servers is a group of young people assisting in the Parish liturgical celebrations. Its main goal is to encourage those who want to become worthy guards of honor to the Eucharistic King and enkindle greater piety and devotion to Christ through the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass.

Provides spiritual and emotional support to families following the death of a loved one. The Ministers lead the prayers and Rosary at the Vigil service for the deceased and their relatives and friends. They also meet with families to support them and assist in choosing the scripture readings for the funeral mass. Ministers’ set-up for the funeral mass and assist the Priest. Once a year in November, a Memorial Mass is planned for the families who have loss a loved one, followed by a reception.

Maintains the appearance of the church (including the sacristy, sanctuary, side altars, and vestibule), through cleaning, polishing, and upkeep of the sacred space, caring for the linens and vestments, and keeping the church in orderly manner.
Also decorates the church to enhance the celebration during the various liturgical seasons of the year. Maintain and care for the plants and floral arrangements.

At Mass one family or couple is selected by the Ushers unless there is a request by a family to carry the gifts (Body and Blood) to the Priest for Consecration. Contact the Rectory for information.
Readers must understand and believe that they are performing a real ministry by sharing God’s Word and one’s faith. Qualities necessary for lecturing at St. Mary’s include:
9 days of masses celebrating the birth of Christ beginning each year on December 15th at the church at 5:30 a.m. except on Sundays at 7:00 a.m.
The committee is responsible for planning our parish Masses. The committee looks at the various liturgical seasons, Church feast and Holy Days, and other special times in the Catholic Church to ensure that the environment of the church, the characteristics of the liturgical celebration, and the music all work hand-in-hand toward making the experience of the Mass the most meaningful, prayerful and inspirational. The committee oversees the various ministerial roles in the liturgy seeking to encourage congregational participation in all aspects of the Mass, attempting to engage the community having beautiful and appropriate music and an inspirational environment.
